Enterprise Stories

These stories are about community enterprises that were initatied over a period of two years as part of an action research project. Each story shows how poor people can begin to manage their own economic development.

Ordinary people may not see themselves as heroic risk-taking business entrepreneurs. But as members of cooperatives and associations they can see themselves as risk-taking social entrepreneurs.

Not all of the stories are classic "success" stories. But each has a lesson to teach.
